Abstract This article presents methods to improve the performance of next generation cellular data networks, specifically the networks’ capability to dynamically adapt to the context, situation, or user. The complexity of this problem requires new approaches, based on artificial intelligence. The solutions that we propose are: developing inteligent and dynamic scheduling policies between different classes of users in next generation networks (NGN), developing novel channel-dependant scheduling algorithms, flexible admission control policies and interworking between different sub-networks by using intelligent algorithms for vertical handover in heterogeneous networks. The proposed solution is a new approach of applying artificial intelligence approaches in this domain. References [1] R.
