Abstract
The problem of quality certification for the EHR systems is extremely important in the current context of the preoccupation to make EHR systems more compatible with the requirements in the medical field. There are numerous projects, completed or in progress, and certainly others dedicated to the EHR systems will be proposed, yet the main concern should be their quality control and testing, as quality is an essential factor in adopting and using EHR systems. The quality certification of the EHR systems aims to improve the quality of the medical service and thus the quality of life. Without perseverance and gradual application of the certification by steadily increasing pressure on developers one cannot hope to achieve quality EHR systems. The certification of EHR systems comes as a solution to solve the users’ requirements and in the same time to guide the developers in achieving EHR systems compatible with the requirements of the applicable European standards.
